Now that's PROPER snow, Elise - just what a deerhound coat is built for! None of that nampy pamby snow we've had in recent years (and I include Scotland in that).

When I were a lad the snow was that thick in summer - and we all had to walk to school barefoot, with nowt on but rags and a chunk of coal for our lunch etc etc.

We would have had to have winched ours in from a helicopter to have gotten them up there, so this is DEFINITELY a deerhound with talent if ever I saw one.

Well here's a new winter olympic sport for hounds - kennel jumping.

These are some photos of one of the top performing Cusidh's who has qualified for 2010 in Vancouver. Here she is practicising over the resuce dogs kennels in Fife.

Thank you for posting these vids of singing deerhounds - what fun! Mine gathered around my computer while I was playing the songs as if they knew they were listening to other deerhounds. Maybe someone should put together a CD, make a nice gift for the dogs at Christmas and we could play it on long car trips to keep everyone with four legs happy

Our Murphy sings along in time to a squeaky tennis ball - does that count as talent? Must try to get him to perform for the camera - I sense a challenge!

A huge round of applause from Connor.

He stared at the speakers the whole time - had to come in from a different room to check it out!

Liam is obviously a critic, and wasnt as impressed. He came in, chased an ant and then laid at my feet.

Cant please everyone I guess!

copied this from another thread - thank you verenav - Rob

Love this video , too - and also the typial fact , being a deerhound , to not move one centimeter too much !!! It inspired the breeder of one of my deeries to make one of their own ; Grain has a totally different singing style and the " other singer " in it isn't quite as good as the one on tv with Bree - still very enjoiable . Here is the link :

- if it doesn'twork go to youtube and google " Aiobgrain der singende deerhound ".
