Congratulations to all who had success at this years breed show. Thanks to the Judges, Mr K, Aird, Mrs G. Peach and Miss J. Cunliffe.

Deerhound Club Breed Show - April 2008

We have a deerhound that will not walk on certain surfaces such as shiny ones, tiles etc.
This can course problems as we have to be careful where we take him. I know there are other people with the same problem. Can anyone give advice on hot to solve this.

One of our dogs is like this, she seems to get so uptight and nervous she skids and trips even more. We have found putting mats in strategic places like corners and bottom of stairs means she doesn't slip as much and is more confident and sure footed in general. Doesn't help much when you are out and about though. Any other suggestions?
