Tess Lure Coursing

Forum regular Terry Robertson’s Leoch Falla (Tess) came fourth in the American Sighthound Field Association 2008 Rankings. Tess took best of breed two days running at this years Winter Challenge. Well done Terry and Tess!

Ready..."The day after Christmas, I and Tess drove six hours to northern Georgia to go Lure Coursing as there were going to several more Deerhounds there (almost no one in Florida courses). We coursed both Saturday and Sunday. Saturday was a not too difficult win for Tess, she got First and Best of Breed. Sunday, however, was another story. She had intense competition and had a hotly contested second run which ended in a tie for first and therefore a runoff. It again was a neck and neck run and we were kept in suspense as to who had what ‘til the Awarding of ribbons. Finally after sitting through all the other breeds, we learned that Tess had come through and captured first and BOB again. Incidentally, that Friday was Tess' whelping day, she turned three. Bye the bye she's from Rait, Scotland and a bonnie wee lass she is!"
