Has anyone used magnetic therapy? Works well. I had a Borzoi bitch , who, after about 4 months after whelping had a litle run in with a son. The young boy ran into mom, and she hit the chain link fence. Her shoulder was sore and she was limping. Regular vet wanted to use anti inflammatories -the same I use on. No way..they hurt my stomache, I wouldn't put her through that. I knew of a vet in a sattelite community who used accupuncture and magnetic therapy. Why not..I used magnetic insoles in my dog show shoes. It worked...6 days of treatment..no limping..no drugs..no pain. In my reearch for 'Education' for the Edm. Kennel Club..I interviewed trainers at the race track (horses, that is) they use it as well. I had the vet come to our kennel club to lecture on the holictic type practices she used...hmm..some people weren't as keen as I was...but good information is that...information -take or leave it..but know about it.

Have a great one...

I've had good luck with it on one of my horses. My former eventer got silly in a muddy paddock and ruptured the lateral collateral ligament in her off hind at age 22. The "big name leg man" horse vet in the area said to put her down, but she recovered well enough to bomb around doing two-tempi changes in the pasture. She lived for six more years.

I also use a magnetic band made for use around a horse's pastern on my bad ankle, which has been stepped on TWICE by my horses, once laterally by the above Thoroughbred mare and once medially by one of my TB geldings. Works great.
