The dogs came inside from doing what dogs do and Bree was hacking, snorting and reverse sneezing. She was clearly uncomfortable and everytime she inhaled it would start another spasm. This went on for minutes and I was starting to think we would be going to the vet. I walked outside to find Hubby to warn him and Bree came running out which started her off but seemed to have dislodged whatever she had inhaled. I was worried she might have sucked up a Bee or grass seed from her grazing. Anyway she is still "clearing" her throat occasionall but she can at least breath now without having attacks. I think her airway is probably irritated from whatever she inhaled.

That is very scary. Glad she seems better now.

Poor Bree Do hope she is ok now. Daisy May had an episode like that when she sniffed and got grass seeds up her nose and down the back of her throat, but was ok after about 15 mins of coughing and spluttering. She was calmer than I was!!

Thanks Guys. She snorted most of the evening but is fine today. No wonder I'm going grey!

Glad to hear Bree is OK Sam, Orrin started doing something similar to Bree and she
had tonsilitis. I didn't know dogs could get that! Pleased Bree is on the mend though.
They do give you awful frights.

I didn't know they could get tonsilitis either. I will have to remember that. Bree also has calcifications in her lungs. The vet was surprised by the x-ray as it is something expected in older dogs, so I am always wary when things affect her airways/lungs.
