Merlot has now had his pins and wire removed from his elbow after 10 weeks. He has some infection which has tracked down the bone where the pin was through the skin, so on antibiotics until we have the results back from the lab. The leg has healed well and two places in his elbow, but one of the smashed bits is taking longer. So on the whole a good result so far. It is healing but just not strong so Merlot has to put his feet up and carry on watching TV for another 6 weeks. Then all being okay I can start to build him up again.

Poor thing! Will the leg and elbow heal well enough for running properly again?

That is good news Chris. Have asked Ellie what she thinks to Merlot and she thinks he's a
bit of alright so after her date with Joe, Merlot could be her next red hot lover
if you are agreeable. I think I would quite like a Merlot baby.
