I have been out tonight and talking to a friend whose brother has a beautiful Deerhound / Greyhound Lurcher called Katy.

It appears he is one of these people who get a dog, then decides he doesn't want it anymore - my friends are still caring for his first cast off, a beautiful English Springer Spaniel.

He has now decided he doesn't want Katy anymore Katy scales 6 feet fences with ease and has nearly been run over numerous times. She returns with cuts etc. She is not being walked and is in need of a forever home. I cannot take her, I already have two males in the house, but would be happy to collect her if anyone is interested. I have given them the web addresses of Southern Lurcher Rescue and Greyhound and Lurcher Rescue. It makes me so mad.

Is there anywhere else that I can tell my friends where to contact, they are not happy with this situation, I just hope that no one sells them a puppy again.

Katy is only 2, black and white and short coated. I haven't seen her, but am trying to get photographs of her.
