Celia's Greyhound Rescue is where JK Rowling got her dog. Sirius Black was played in the Harry Potter films by a Kilbourne Deerhound - perhaps if that was mentioned, then Diesel might have more chance of a new home? Elise, does your Mum know about this chap?

I am having trouble NOT phoning about this boy. If he is ages with my Cara I'd be thinking they were from the same litter. If his nature is like Caras he will be a superb dog.

Yes, Mum has seen Diesel as his current home is in Fife. He might be coming in to Mum's rescue(St Hubert's Hound Sanctuary) next week as I understand it he's currently still in his home. Diesel is Greyhound size and quite finely built. He's not good with cats and needs a bit more training re off-lead work. He's about 5-6 years old and he's been in his current home for about 2 years but family circumstances have changed hence the dog needs a new home. Mum says he's quite an attractive dog. If anyone is interested they can contact Claire Cartmell. Her contact details are in the directory here www.scottish-deerhound.co...2&sobi2Id=1 or via Ceilia's Greyhound Rescue.

That's good news. I'd feel happier about him being with Clare than in the Greyhound rescue - he's much more likely to find an appropriate home. If he's not good with cats, I feel better about not rushing straight off to get him.

I'm glad he seems to be going somewhere appropriate. I hope he gets a new home soon, I'll pass the word on. If he needs a space somewhere I'm sure I could fit him in (providing he doesn't mind sharing with Bryn) but a new permanent home would be so nice, it's a pity he's had two homes already.

I suggest you look through the directory (click directory at the top of the screen) for a breeder in your country, then give them a call. Normally they will want to meet you.
We don't sell or advertise dogs through this site, so you will have to do a bit of leg work I'm afraid.
