I introduced Loki in the deerhound section so i had better introduce our two faithfull old lurchers now as well.

They both came to us through pip at evesham greyhound & lurcher rescue along with oud sadly now gone Casper.Casper and tiggy both came direct to us without pip ever meeting them and then we went to the show in evesham a few years back and left with Max as well lol.

Anyway enough babbling heres the beasts!!

Oohh, they are all lovely, bless them. So nice to see your precious hounds. My Daisy May is a rescue too, I think she would have fallen in love with your handsome Casper !

We fostered lurchers for Pip for a few years and had about 25/year through our hands so we know that she does a wonderful job. Its a sign of the times that at the moment, not all of the lurchers available to her can be taken in for rehoming and have to be left to their fate. Most of them are young dogs that havn't made the grade and I don't see this changing anytime soon as there still seems to be loads for sale.

Oh, that's so sad Wish I had room here to take a few more lurchers in

Max looks like a Lurcher we took in some years back, Kai, we believe a first cross DH/Greyhound. Lovely dog, friends split up so we had him, sadly long gone now.
Funny Alan, before Murphy it was a good DH/GH Lurcher that I was looking for, couldn't find one for love nor money, then again, having kids, I wanted a puppy and not a rescue, I like to have dogs from pup' when you have children, sadly not everyone tells the truth of why they are rehoming their dog.
I do like Max, Casper and Tiggy though!

Thats a simmilar story to ours. When I lost my 3/4 DH,1/4 GH lurcher, I couldn't find another one and Sal and I had a look at purebreds instead and the rest is history. I still miss my 3/4 bred though and will never forget the fantastic tlmes we had.(not so fantastic for foxes).

Sadly the friday before last Tiggy had a massive fit/seizure and i didnt think she was even going to make it to the car yet alone the vets but she seems to have made a full recovery im just hoping it isnt a sign of something more serious to come.

I hope Tiggy has recovered ok. I know from just watching the cat how scary seizures are.
Wishing Tiggy all the best
