Hello and welcome Kim ,

I am Verena , in Canada , and do have a littersister of Penticton - also live relatively close to the little town Penticton here in BC for which your " first deerhound " has gotten his name and where a cousin of him is living . I am very glad he found his way to your family of hounds and hope to see some pics over the time - will have to post some of my girls ( 4 dhs , the oldest actually from Denmark ) soon .

Wishing you all the best ,

Verena , Hermione's ( aka Ceridven of Canadagh Caoinlan's ) human

After whole 3 days of deerhound daddy, i must agree that they are special. The little fella behaves like an addult dog in a puppycostume. He is so calm and relaxed, and knows what to do. He ha only eaten 3 days in my home, yet when i bring the food bowls, he go t th eplace where his food bowl will be placed, sit down and wait, where the other dogs dance around and follow the whole bringing out intensely.
He also knows how to make himself comfortable.
And how interesting to meet a sister here. Wonder if more of the C gang will show up here some day - could be nice!

Congrats on losing your wannabe status! He really is a cute little fella. Those big ears are really funny. Are you taking bets for when the next one will coming along ? I'd say about 18 months....

When my IW was young, his ears were also very living. How much hiarlaq may it take to keep them so for the rest of his life?

Do you know somethig that I dont know, or should know?

The sofa is taken.

He really does look very cute and judging by the picture of him on the sofa he's a fast learner.

Now at an age of 6 months, Penticton shows his character. He i a kind of philisopher, wants to know how things work, but he is also agile and fast.

I just love him too - here a new pic of his sister Hermione , on a very blustery day (the ears where just being blown every which way ...)

That seems to be a family matter. Penticton's ears are very lively too. Here they almost perform a crown.

Hi Kim
I know what you mean about the ears - Clunie's are often very like taht - as are Fynn's our deerhound/greyhound. Enjouy your little (or not so little) one. They grow up too quickly...

This is , what I call a very nice " eardo " - they seem to do this a lot while their jaws grow and the teeth are coming in - so very , very cute ....
