Don't panic... Elsie grey has not eloped on the quiet..... although after the 'Baby' ball episode.... maybe she should have!!

It was a Year ago today that Chris and I returned from a long trip up to Ipswich. Elsie Grey was a rehome and the people who had her could not cope with her ( can see why now )
Elsie Grey was coming up for 5mths at the time.

It was a long & exciting day...... right up untill the last minute I was afraid they would change their mind and I had already fallen in love with her

We took Daisy May and they played in the park....aaahhhh Once we returned home, Elsie grey made herself at home.... played with the toys...... had tea...... lay on the sofa etc.

Daisy May was fine with her....... all working out very well, I thought to myself Alas when it was time for Chris to go home, Daisy may stood up to see her out ( very well mannered is Daisy May) as Chris got to the door..... Daisy May looked a little worried She nudged Chris.... 'Hey you forgot to take the Grey Thing!'........ Bless her, Daisy May's face was a picture when she realised that Elsie grey was HER New Sister

I am pleased to say that the shock was short lived and they soon settled down

Elsie Grey had not been socialised and had not learnt any manners ( those who witnessed her behaviour at her first show will recall her persistance at raiding their picnics )

Her manners have improved and she has bought joy and laughter to my life.... So a Big Thank You to Sue reynolds for helping me to Adopt her

A pic of Elsie Grey celebrating...... ( Daisy May does not do hats.... far to refined !)

I never would have got Elsie Grey without your help.... it is a good job you took Daisy May & me to get her..... or I would have still been driving around looking for Ipswich

Have texted you, my phone keeps saying message not sent so lots of love and hugs to Merlot from me and the girls

Best watch that Merlot does not try to look for any saucy Deerhound sites while he is on your lap..... you know what he is like

Congrats to the anniversary !! Actually , the breeder fo my very first deerhound bought herself a kingsized waterbed , so that she and her 6 deerhounds could sleep happily together ever after - it seemed to work just fine.

God Verenav, I hope your breeder keeps her hounds nails short. I don't think I'd let them
on my bed if it was a water-bed. One could drown in ones sleep:ohmy:

Now there's a thought...... a Water bed Oh.... just remembered..... I can't swim Now I could go to bed wearing arm bands & a life jacket.... maybe a float handy just to be on the safe side Also of course, if Elsie Grey does the tipping upside down mattress thing.... we would all drown

Kerry, you seriously need to re think your career. You tell such good stories, even thought about becoming a childrens author!

Love it!
