Thank you very much Joerg for supplying the list of participants for the 2010 Euro Championship!

With reference to the video:-
Some good, some bad, and one downright ugly run.
I was very disappointed to see that one incident with a bitch coming in to the finish and then after a bump, really starting a fight.
The owner should have been at the catch point to stop that as soon as possible - I suspect it was predictable.

This sort of behaviour in Deerhounds (and their owners) is unacceptable.

I used to love going to France to lure course - for one thing because all the breeds ran under national rules without a muzzle, usually there was fine lure coursing ground, and other than the fact the French encouraged a philosophy of lure coursing with regular club training, they made a great weekend of it!

Running with muzzles, and to racing rules - where judging stops as soon as the lure stops so that no disciplinary measures follow aggresive interference at that critical point - condones aggression on the field.

Many thanks to Gerd Zekert for the video, and for getting us Deerhounders to go to French lure coursing (P.V.L.) back in the early 1990's.
