Ive added a 7th category . Deerhound Just for FUN!

As you know our lovely hounds can be a whole lot of different things , like ...

naughty, cheeky, cute, adorable, mad, zany, etc... so if you've got anything that doesn't fit into any of the other categories, then this is where it goes !!!

Sounds good but am a bit confused what the 1 of 6 bit is all about. Is it a way of distinguishing the different pictures?

We've limited the number of pics to 6 to reduce the load on the judges and make sure everyone has a fair chance of winning. So it will just make it easier if everyone labels their submissions 1 to 6.

when can we start posting our pics formally for the competion and have you chosen the judges yet?

You don't have to do it all at once , and if you take a better photo later on, you can swap it for another one if you have submitted 6 already.
Just place the picture in the relevant category thread for it to be considered.

You don't have to submit one in each category , you can put all 6 into the Deerhound-Just for fun! if you like.

We have one Judge so far, if anyone else who considers themselves photographically challenged would like to offer there services, please drop me or Rob (teratyke) a pm.

I would just like to say a big 'well done and thank you' to Steve for thinking up this calendar compition - it is going to be a lot of fun and will be for a very good cause

There is a deerhound calendar available for the the deerhound club who produce one every year. Avaiable from the club site.- www.deerhound.co.uk

Yes, but not all of us belong to the Deerhound club and it's a good way of trying to get our hounds onto a calendar and if not, well, it's fun and hopefully will enable us to brush up on our caamera techniques There is plenty of room for another deerhound calendar anyway

We have 10 people who have submitted 1 or more photos so far, which is brilliant ! Thankyou.
We only need 3 more people to take part to cover the fixed cost of producing the calendar.

Please keep the photos coming in. There are some really nice ones already.
