I'm new to the site and am looking for any other deerhound people in cumbria. I have a 16 month old deerhound bitch called Indi. We would like to have a go at lure coursing and would appreciate any info about where we could try it.

Welcome Scoobydoo and Indi, sorry 100's of miles south of you, nr London, but welcome anyway. Tell us about your girlie and where you got her etc.

Not in your area but hope you enjoy the site. I'm sure you'll hear from those closer to you soon. Do post a picture of Indi.

Hello Lurch
Indi is my first dog of my own since leaving home. My parents have a kennels and cattery and as a child a deerhound used to come in and board. Of all the dogs we have looked after over the years 'jenny' was always my favourite. I always said that when i got a dog of my own it would be a Deerhound. And it was!! I got Indi from Mick and Glenis Peache's Kilbourne kennel in Derby. She is 16 months old and the most lovable character. Do you have Deerhouns?

Hi, yes, I have Murphy who is 4 1/2 now. He is from Derby too, from Sue Phillips Kilbourne Grey Ghost of Ladygrove and Mick and Glenis's Kilbourne Nimrod. He is my first DH,my learning curve! we have had a Deerhound x before and several greyhounds and other Lurchers. We also have a Border Terrier, who is currently resting, injured after haing a run in with a Bull Terrier, he came off worse He had a huge wound to his face, but after cleaning with Tea Tree and also Salt Water, antibiotics too, he is healing well.
Post some pics of Indi, we;d all love to see them!

Hi there and welcome I have Murray (Wolfscastle Hela) and Carys (Matahari Mouse) along with Marti who is a woolly coated rehome deerhound. She is a Pharcourse girl and aged about 8/9.

Houndy, have you posted any pictures of Marti? I may have missed them, but dying to see her.
