Hallo Babsi!
What a nice idea to remember what we have spoken.
That beautiful picture makes me creaping for snowcoursing. This morning Biro made some leaf coursing, the wind was so heavy that a lot of leaves were blown over the snow to Biros delight.
The last six weeks I have some trouble with girls in season, sick deerhounds etc.. But maybe next Sunday? or the weekend later?
I will call you.
an ear rub to beautiful little cait

Didn't kow you had a kennel already - GOOD LUCK !!!! Highlanders Yard, Lyonhill a.s.o. are known to me , mostly trough internet and magazines , but then I do have ( deerhound) friends in Switzerland and Germany and 3 of my 5 girls are/were mostly outcrosses themselves - big , international productions , bringing Canada , the USA , Europe/Germany and Australia together with really , really nice results I think . Looking forward to seing more pics of your " typie " deerhounds !!!

Hallo Verena!
I think the word "kennel" is just too big for us. We just had two litters and planing the next in 2011...
as proof Biro has some australian ancestors:

Yes please post a link to your site - you can post it here on the forum, but its a good idea to put a link in the directory - www.scottish-
deerhound.com/directory - so that people can find your link easily in the future. Its fairly simple to do, but any problems let me know and I can help.

Thanks , had found you meanwhile through the DWZRV- I think , I have several relatives of your dogs , not quite sure what the Australian line behind your dogs is ( 3 of mine do have more or less of Nelungaloo in them ) - but I also have a Chapeltower deerhound , Disa ( no 5.5 years ) , I think from Jenfer's last litter ( Dileas and Bayliss ) and , I do have a daughter of Chapeltower Balzac and a Greybrow female from Denmark ( now 8 ) .

Hallo!
Isn`t it fascinating, that we have deeries from almost same descent? (Ok it is not so difficult as in other breeds).I love the swiss discussions about the deerhound abilities, we met regularly at the swiss club show.
I read the funny story of Disa`s trip, remembered me to similar experiences long time ago whilst studying. I think that kind of experience could happen to Quentin, too.
last year when we fetched him from wales, this was the most exciting journey I ever had.
Greetings from nasty misty schwaben

Never had any kind of similar experience in my own life - Disa is wayyyy ahead of me - and , of all my deerhounds , she is the ONLY one who could have done something like this , has a very deep and at times equally dark mind ( verging on depression I mean ) ; no wonder she wants to expand and enlighten . LOVE HER !!! read in an article some years ago , that at Jenefer's house the deerhounds tend to stand on the grand piano , this then has to be where her " artistic/moody " side comes from .
But then , did you also read " The Vernon girls train to hunt " - this shows her prowess in other fields of deerhound-dom .
One more question here - where can I find the pedigrees of your deerhounds ? Can not enlarge the one of Quentin and would be interested in " the rest " of them , too ...-thanks !

Hello May Britt, nice to meet you here. Cait is still waiting for your visit. If it is a little less snow, we can try to catch the lure. Look, here is a photo from Cait at coursing last sunday.
Lovely photos and big welcome!

Hello houndy!
ÄH shame on me !
He is without any kennel name.
His mother´s ancestors are Regalflight and Ardkinglas. His father is a Chapeltower dog. I know more about his ancestors than about mine
