Wasn't sure where to put these...I thought - you've seen the boy as he is now..here he is as a baby. This was a stop just outside Jasper, Alberta...Jasper Lake - after nearly 4.5hours in the van. I fell in love right away.

Thank you...Don wasn't sure the baby would handle the trip as well as he did. We drove from Edmonton to Kamloops on the Friday..right after he left work - early. It's about 7 -8 hrs..speed and how many times I need to stop. If we wanted a HD...this was the woman to see. Got to Kamloops late Fri..off to Lynn's Sat. Ah..she oppened the kennel room door---there stood this little grey pup...he took my breathe away. We met mom and dad...all lovely..but he was something special. We left the room to go upstairs..but I let the the 2 of them ahead and went back into kennel room. He was still standing there...same spot. Knelt down beside him and he licked my face...no jumping, just calm..quiet lick. I was able to pick him up - that only lasted for 2 months..ah, my back. We had papers to sign..so best leave him ..for now. He never whined..he has been perfect. Drove 8 hrs without a whimper..never had an accident in the house..he was born potty trained.

Funny you should say that about accidents, Murphy never did it in the house either. I put the newspaper down in the hall on the first night, lay awake waiting for the whimpering......nothing. Woke up at 6am, expecting lots of wee's and pooh's, nothing. Put the paper down every night for a week....nothing, so didn't bother after that, he was clean as a whistle and always has been. The only time he wee'd, was when he had a mad half hour, just before his tea, where he would run from the top end of the garden and into the house, straight on his bed and wee He was so frisky and wild eyed, not the laid back sleepy boy he is now.
Amazing how they are clean like that, Murphy was outside with his Mum and siblings, not as if he had any house training, he just knew.

Murray was the same as Murphy - clean in the house from day 1 but wee'd on his bed a few times - then was and has been as clean as a whistle ever since and he can gom for ages without having a wee. Must have a bladder like a camel

The only time Lockie ever wee'd in the house was earlier this year when Bree was on heat and even then it was at the back door. Bree has never wee'd in the house. Xena on the other hand can and still does have issues. We have to make sure she goes when taken out and we have to lift the water of the floor at night. If she does go it is always on a particular dog bed. For us it shows the difference between raising a pup rather than getting an older pup formerly neglected. We love her all the same despite her many issues

Not much has changed..except Zippo is much bigger now..but..still as curious..or perhaps he just thinks everything is his..or should be his.
