Thank you to everyone who sent a nice welcome message.
I live on a farm about 90 minutes east of Melbourne, Australia.
I have had deerhounds for 22 years and the answer I normally give when people ask me how many dogs I have is "Enough".

But suffice to say that I have plenty of deerhounds and two kelpies. My oldest deerhound will be 12 this November and my youngest is 16 months old.
I breed very occasionally under the prefix 'Claidhembor'and I have been fortunate enough to see my dhs in wonderful homes across the globe.
I am also lucky to have a large property where my dogs can run free and this is my favourite part of the day when we all go for a wander around the farm, especially if we put up a fox or a hare.
I show less and less every year it seems- as Pam will testify- but I find that the preparation time and the waiting-around time negate any enthusiasm I ever had for dog showing. There is always something else I would rather be doing!!!
And with that, I am off to take everyone down to the creek for a run as it has stopped raining....
