TOPIC: Hi everyone

Hi everyone 3 years, 5 months ago #3034

Just came across this forum and thaught it would be great to talk with some other Deerhound fans.
I have got a couple of lurchers (one being a Deerhound cross) and have a two year old Deerhound bitch that I bought from a lovely lady in Wales just a couple of months ago.
Best thing I ever did as she is fantastic:)

Hi chilliwoman
Welcome to the site. I was looking at your website, well I guess that is your business www.gringleygringo.com/ ? Excellent site, I think we might be placing an order you have some really nice things on there. Is the Gringley in GringleyGringo anything to do with Gringley on the Hill?
Rob

Helen
I take it you know Taryn?
She was needing to downsize so I went and picked up Odelle for us and Returned Whitchita to Glenis in Derby along with Saphire (another one of Taryns).
Such a painful day for Taryn........I really felt for her when she had to say goodbye.

Fancy that - We were in Clumber at the weekend! Took the dogs for a walk as we were visiting family in the area. I used to work at Bassetlaw Hospital (10 years ago) and I occasionally visited Gringley on the Hill Surgery. We live down south now in Milton Keynes. Clumber Park is an excellent place though. We've been quite a few times normally around the lake.

What a small world..........maybe next time we could meet up and walk all the dogs together?
Deehounds get a lot of attention round here as there arent many in this area.

I only know Taryn through Deerhounds, not really personally, great website she has and her diary has me in stitches. I also know the part of the world where they live, which is very beautiful.

Hi Chilliwoman
Welcome to the site and I hope that you enjoy it as much as I do.
Have you got snow? We have an inch only here in the Trossachs but much more is forecast for tomorrow early morning..
Clunie, my deerhound is loving the snow and she keeps on wanting to go out and play in it. Can't wait until there's loads of it as she hasn't seen much here. She did maybe see alot in the Highlands where she came from, but it wasn't very snowy at the start of this year ( I digress!!)
Just to say enjoy this site and meeting all the other dh lovers.

Hi Chilliwoman and welcome! I live near to Taryn in a beautiful part of Wales and have a Wolfscastle deerhound called Murray aka Wolfscastle Hela

Re:Hi everyone 3 years, 5 months ago #3109

Lucky you living up there....sooooooooo beautiful!
Having said that, the day I went to pick up Odelle and the others the weather was awful so just seeing a few feet in front of me was an achievement. Took me three hours to get out of Wales as every road I took was flooded:(

The dogs were great though, just layed in the back of the car taking it all in their stride!

Have you got any pics of your dog?

I am sooooooo excited, hoping to pick up a 31/2yr old boy next week from Kilborne Kennels (Glenis).......if he gets on with my girls;)
