Here in Australia we have a horse race that stops the nation called Melbourne Cup...Some of us choose to spend the day at Sunbury Dog Show in Melbourne instead as the atmosphere is great&it is becoming a very large show..
This year was my first year at Sunbury for Melbourne cup&when Varushka(deerhound)&I heard that they have fashions on the feild we just had to enter!! So off to the fabric shop,get a hat to fit a deerhound head,get sewing&add some diamonties&feathers&we were set!
This could possibly be a first for a deerhound&she lapped up every moment of her stardom..great entries from everyone&all breeds with the pug&two very small very cute children winning but Varushka&I got the first bottle of champagne handed out so we were thrilled!
Seems the Deerhound Club of Victoria thought it was alright too as we now grace the month of November in the clubs calender!! WHO SAYS DEERHOUNDS ARE'NT PRETTY DOGS!!
