Hi,
Thought it was about time I stopped lurking and joined in! I have been looking through the site with the hope of adding a handsome,hairy hound to our clan. I have owned lurchers for a number of years, altough we now only have 1, lovely Mia, a saluki x whippet who adopted us about 9 months ago. I have always admired deerhounds and as Mia is seriously in need of some pointy dog company thought now might be the right time to take the plunge!
I might be a bit of a pest over the next few weks asking some questions about this lovely breed, and look forward to joining in on the forum!

I have only had my fella for 3 1/2 years so I will try and answer questions, but the hardy Deerhounders on here will be able to help you more!

Lots of lovely people abd deerhounds to be found on here I have had my deerhound, Murray for 8 months now and he 10 months old and am very shortly going to be getting a 2nd one. Chilliwoman is right - once you have one you will very soon want another They are so addictive...
