Hello,

let me to introduce myself. My name is Eva Vobornikova and I am from the Czech Republic. I live with deerhounds since 1997, when deerhound female Terinka came to our family. Her pedigree name was Enfant Terrible von der Oelmühle, she died at ten. Terinka had two litters. I have five deerhounds in my hosehold now - Terinka´s son Baltazar Jeeves Irater called Balt (6 years), Terinka´s granddaughter Queen Qumolly Qwinta of Dirty Mind called Molly (2 years), Terinka´s grandgrandson Assing Irater Irsias called Asi (11 months), Eileandour Draggi from Belgium (4 years) and Grayrory´s Drama from Sweden called Randis (2 years). Companions of our deerhound are our three pets: cairn terrier Gina (4 years)and two dachshunds Andi, twelve years old and Fido, seven years old.

We live in small town near Brno. Our deerhounds likes long walks in fields and forests. Draggi, Molly and Randis like also lure coursing. We visit many dog shows, to find the friends with deerhounds there.

Welcome to the site. Excellent photos. What's the 'deerhound scene' like over in the Czech Republic? Are there many deerhounds and shows/lure coursing to attend? Or do you end up traveling large distances?

we have about 50 deerhounds in our republic at all, we have many dog shows (national, international, 2 club shows every year, sighthound specialty etc.) in our republic and we have also lure coursings (about ten every year) here. I am very proud that our Draggi, Molly and Randis have coursing licence and they like this sport. Molly is Czech and Club champion of Beauty, Draggi is Interchampion of Beauty...but you are true, that they like long walks ! Our republic is very small,but nice. We travel for some coursing or show about 100 -300 km from our home. But we visit also lure coursings and dog shows in Europe, in Germany, Austria, The Netherlands.

Eva, I have just realised who you are. We have mutual friends in Dave Blackford and
Jeannie Morrisey. During the showing season Dave and Jeannie stay at our house the night
on route to shows.

I know Dave has become a member of the forum, so Dave come on out of the shadows and
introduce yourself to the rest of the crew:lol:
