currently residing in Miami with the 2 Humans, my competitior PJ ( funny colored fella and way shorter than me - he runs away when I want to discuss the Bone situation...... more on him later)

and that grey little furry fuzzball, which I have to leave alone!

That's what the Humans tell me - wish I could chase him though. Ahhhh what a thought...

Anyhow smelled your website out and wanted to meet some other Deers.
I had to leave my Brothers & Sisters in Canada when I was 10 weeks old. What a trip that was coming down to the Sunshine state - but nobody fed me on my trip & they put me in the cargo compartment. My complaining went unnoticed, but it was warm at least. Ghastly, absolutely ghastly.

I'm Thomas, owner of Tasgall. Just a quick intro on us:

He's the first Deerhound for my Wife & I , but the 2nd Dog. We also own a Chartreux "Petrus" who occasionally gets chased by Tas throughout the House.
Tas is currently 9 month old.

Welcome. I'm glad that you already answered the question that I was goimg to ask - how old was Tas. Our first deerhound, Clunie is almost 8 months old - we got her when she was 9 weeks old and a character. We have 2 other dogs - a lurcher (deerhound x greyhound) and a rotti x lab. I hope that you are having as much fun with Tas as we are with Clunie!

Welcome, You didn't mention which blood-line Tas is from up there in the far North. Must have been a shock to the wee'un, the hot weather an' all. You do know that you're in for an adventure with a Derrie. They are a most wonderful being. To quote Walter Scott, "A most perfect creature of Heaven." I've two of the Darlin's and a beautiful black Lurcher. All three continually amaze me. That you'll find out for yourself. We're here in the north of Florida, have to get out early to beat the heat for our walks. We've had to overcome the urge to go after the squirrels and the cats and rare rabbits we see on those walks. Always an adventure.
