Today's one of those few days when Ben will be left alone for 5 hours so I got up early to take him for a walk before I went out.

After a week of glorious weather it was raining lightly this morning. I got ready and then opened the door to go out, he gave me that look "Are you mad" and stayed glued to the floor just inside the door. Eventually I made him come out but he looked so indignant and was walking so slowly that I just took him for a short walk and then returned home. He waited for me to dry him with a towel and then made a beeline for the sofa, jumped on and relaxed in that usual Deerhound way.

I don't know why but he just seems to hate rain, he'll paddle and lay down in a stream/lake but seems to hate rain falling on him for some reason.

Our guys will go out and play in the rain but if you want them to go toilet...
Bree and Lockie will brave the inclement weather but Xena can be a battle and we have to pick the dog beds up at night so she doesn't soil them. Maybe it was because we didn't have her as apup as the other 2 will go out or hold on.

Mine will also go out and play in it but try getting them out to the loo - no chance. I v'e tried turfing them out and shutting the door but when I open it they are all still standing there and haven't moved! I nearly get trampled in their rush to get back inside and find their spot on the sofa

I know, isn't it strange, they love a dam or stream or even a puddle, but ask them to go out in the rain and it's torture!!

Same here... my girls will run into the sea, play in puddles, especially muddy ones! But if it is raining..... no way will they go into the garden for a wee.... they hide in the conservatory and then rush back in & make a dash for the sofa
My old lucher Harvey used to sneak in the shed for a quick wee if it was raining outside, his face was a picture when I caught him in mid flow
