We had to take our old lurcher laddie to the vet last night as he was passing blood in his toilet it was a visit that he didnt return home from, the vet found a big lump in his stomach and as he was 15 years old advised that he was put to sleep, poor blue has been looking all over the place for him today and wont eat i think he is missing him as much as us

I am sorry to hear your sad news about Laddie, bless him. Sending you lots of love and special ear rubs for Blue & Brodie; they will miss him, love them. But the love you shared will stay with you, but of course you will all miss your special old boy

15 years, what a fantastic age, think of all the good times you all had and if it is any consolation, you did the right thing and never let him suffer.
I do feel for you it is awful when we have to say good bye x

We are all so sorry to hear that Laddie has died. As Lurch says, take comfort from all the happy memories that he gave you. Blue and Brodie will need extra special hugs and kisses. It is so awful to say goodbye but you did the right thing by not letting him suffer

Sorry to hear about Laddie. Poor Blue and Brodie must be a bit confused as to where their mate has gone. Sending ear and belly rubs to them both and hugs to you

So sorry to hear about losing Laddie. It will get easier in time, I know it sounds corny but probably everyone on this site has lost a much loved pet at one time or another. At the time it is so hard and heartbreaking to see your other pets pining but they do recover as will you. Love and hugs Gillx
