I know that the Irish Wolfhound is referred to as the "Gentle Giant'..but I think that the Deerhound is a close 2nd..if not a tight fight for 1st pl. Here's 2yr old Zippo with a baby pup. Also..in an old Cdn Wolfie newsletter..I found pics of them with kids..well. I dare say that Deerhounds love them as much. Zippo wasn't raised around children, yet he numerous children who come over to play with him. This 8 yr old girl comes by at least 4x a week to visit..notice the look in her eyes. She has an American Eskimo at home.
