Where's our sofa gone?? A disconsolate Creubhag.

Here's a picture of Creubhag looking somewhat depressed to find her favourite sofas removed from the house.

The sofas were on their way out due to dog damage but they were Creubhag's favourites!

Oh ... how could you

Our three alternate between three dog beds and the sofa but their absolute pride of place are the two rotting armchairs we haven't had the heart to part with

You meanie He looks utterly disgusted at the loss of his favorite sofas - it's amazing how their expressions can say it all

Murphy is like this with dog beds, I have to put him out, before removing the old one, he gets a bit sentimental and stands on it so you can't lift it!
Funny old things aren't they?

That's a brilliant photo Claire. Isn't it great how expressive they can be.

She looks as though she would happily go to the tip with the couch than be parted from it...

I know it's not fair but the dogs had made big holes in them & the foam was coming out so wasn't really safe but the response here may shame me into replacing them!

Creubhag has now taken to sitting on clean washing which gets put on boxes which are blocking hall instead!

Such a case ought to be reported to the animal welfare, and the sofa rescue as well.

Poor Creubhag. The epitome of hangdog. Get some loose covers, Claire!

Don't worry Mum in the unlikely event that Creubhag wins at Crufts next year she could win a new sofa as apparently DFS are going to be the principal sponsor for 2010!

Absolute cruelty! How could you break your babys heart like that? Her face is a picture, if only she could speak! Can you imagine it? 'Oh no you dont! If the sofa goes, I go!' Gillx

Well I did buy 2 sofa covers & a spare set of 2 more but the frequent manoeuvering for position on the sofa - was one to stretch full out or 2 D/Hs to curl up? meant that the loose covers ended up in a pile on the floor.

The sofas are still outside though - in fact Creubhag was reclining on one yesterday morning but I wasn't in time to get a photo of her making the best of things! Claire

Shame on you! We have a fitted cover on the couch and it stays in place really well. On the futon where Lockie dug a hole in the mattress, we put on an old fitted sheet with a bedcover on top. Seems to work ok.

Off topic, I know, but how do you pronounce Creubhag?

Creubhag is pronounced Cray vak as 'bh' is pronounced as 'v' and 'g' is pronounced as 'k' - it means roughly 'beautiful little woman 'in Gaelic.

Creubhag is greatly encouraged by the support in the forum!
