This is just lovely. We had a Boxer x Great Dane who like dto sing, but none of the Deerhounds has ever joined in. Strath actively disapproved of live music and made his feelings quite obvious, though, by asking to go out as soon as he saw a guitar coming out...

Excellent singing - I've entered you in our latest competition - to become a deerhound superstar! See here...

Brollachan..........
How can you subject Bree to such cruelty?????????
We will have to take her back.......
It is OK folks..... we bred Bree so we have a DUTY OF CARE........
More seriously.......
That is so funny/cool...... Have not shown Pam yet......
BTW..... I agree with Bree's opinion of the " music ".........

That was fantastic! I giggled all the way through the clip, what a talented dog you have, much better crooner than the human anyway! Gx

Fantastic - but so typically deerhound - she just lies there and takes part! Why get up if you don't have to?? Truly brilliant - I haven't laughed so much in a long time.

It was fantastic and after the weekend I have had, was a welcome I can tell you!

I knew a Dalmation that did that to Kool and the Gang's Celebration! nothing else!

How wonderful, I enjoyed every minute of the duet Daft thing was, I was laughing and Daisy May trotted in to see what was going on and then Elsie Grey started howling and joining in! Mind you...she can't sing!!
Thanks again for sharing that, it made my heart smile..... I love our Deeries

Love this video , too - and also the typial fact , being a deerhound , to not move one centimeter too much !!! It inspired the breeder of one of my deeries to make one of their own ; Grain has a totally different singing style and the " other singer " in it isn't quite as good as the one on tv with Bree - still very enjoiable . Here is the link :

- if it doesn'twork go to youtube and google " Aiobgrain der singende deerhound ".

That's so cute. I think I could get Lockie to do that with a few tries
I did a bit of experimenting last night and it seems Bree will sing to most opera tenor music. She had a go with Paul Potts
Terry did a search for singing deerhounds and played one of a Wolfie. Well that set Bree off, Lockie and Xena came tearing in to see what the fuss was about and Lockie joined in as well. He then came over to me and started doing what Grain is doing but in my face wough wough wough wough wough
Gotta love 'em

It is comforting to know that when Kaja the cat passes on I will still be able to hear the hounds sing BUT not at 3:00 in the morning

Fantastic hounds we have , don't we ??? Grain sings also without Marco , e.g. when she is hungry or something else interesting is happening .Mine sing when I call the ones that are out hunting , be it with a whistle or sometimes , when I do not have the whistle with me , I will howl a bit and generally whoever is with me will start , too - I just can't whistle or howl and tape at the same time ( which might be a good thing ) .
I also love , that Bree and Grain both have wonderful beds with similar covers on top - one can't help but make their lives the most comfortable ones .Never spoiled a dog as much as I do my deeries , and never enjoied it as much .

Bravo Bree, Bravo. Sam that was absolutely brilliant. My sides ache from laughing.

Our dogs do that when the phone rings. One sets the others off. I have it for my ring
tone on my mobile. I get some very strange looks when my phone rings.
