Camels look somewhat weird, but they are really useful, also in our part of the world. I know a forestry where the topographic makes the use of machinery difficult, so they use horses. Problem with horses is that the comparatively small hooves slip, or sink down in mud. Then the shoes may get ripped off. A Camel cant provide the same traction force as a horse, but they have big foots that dont sink in so easy, and they require no shoes. Besides that, they find weeds and slash very delicate and thus can supply ther feeding with something that is otherwise considered useless.
Get used to the look at them, they might be able to make themselves useful in our hemisphere!
