We're thinking of going to the South Wales Kennel Association, Buith Wells
show but I'm afraid to say we rarely venture into Wales so don't know anything about the area - I'll bring my passport just in case its needed though. Could anyone recommend a dog/child friendly hotel in the area? Also is there anything nice for a 2.5 year old toddler to do nearby? Dog shows have a limited appeal for him. Thanks very much Elise

I love the Welsh KC show. It is probably my favourite. It is a very pleasant drive to get there, although you do have to allow plenty of time in case you get stuck behind hay carts on the twisty roads. It is in a beautiful setting and it is a very well organised show.

The girls have been brushed, nails done and beards washed. The seats are down in the car and the show bag's ready at the front door along with our chairs, camera, show passes and every day collars and leads. Just a flask and sandwiches to do in the morning.

If the weather is kind we will have a lovely day out no matter what the results are.

That's put my mind at rest. I will tell myself this at 4 in the morning!!

Good Luck to all of you who are going to Wales. Just be glad that you are not coming upto Scotland as we are going to get even more rain (if that is possible!!) I'm consodering building an ark - our river is almost at winter high level!!
