It's a bit too far for us Scots, but for those who can't make Lodge Park, we're running at Sue's on Sunday.

Is this the big deerhound event where everyone dresses up in period costume? Ha! Only in Britain you say? Everybody bring your cameras puleeese, this is too good to pass up!

Lodge Park is, yes. It's jeans and fleeces as usual at Sue's!

We'll all be at Lodge Park, dressed up like a bunch of idiots. I'll try and take some photos so you can all point and laugh.

.....but we (the dogs and us) would rather be chez Rose in Rumbling Bridge

And we would rather you were there as well. However, Lodge Park will also be fun.

Chris and I will be at Lodge Park. It will be my first time and I am really looking forward to it
I even have a costume...the dress is a bit long, so worried that i am going to trip over it....might wear leggings underneath, just to be on the safe side...would hate to go flying and flash the undies!! The hat is a bit perculiar, so i should look a treat

Considering Elsie Grey is convinced that any plastic bag has sandwiches in, she should run like the clappers!!

I can't wait to meet Mrs.T, so glad you are bringing her

Looking forward to seeing you all there & just wondering if there will be any Knights in Shining Armour!!

I don't know of any camp sites, but you can get some cheap deals at Travel Lodge and Holiday Inn Express, and they allow dogs. We got a good deal at the Holiday Inn near Gloucester. It's about half an hour from Lodge Park, but that's certainly better than us having to leave home at 6am!

I hope you all have a wonderful day whether at Lodge Park or Rumbling Bridge. Don't forget those cameras

Hope everyone has a good day at Lodge Park. I went a couple of years ago and had a great time. It's a long day for me to get there now and Ben probably wouldn't run in a muzzle anyway. He'd hate the long journey and as I don't have anyone to stay home with him I feel that it's too long to leave him on his own.

Looking forward to your pics.

Have a great time all! Hope the weather stays lovely and sunny for the day

You know how we live in Glasgow. Well believe it or not my sister's wedding reception was at Lodge Park. She met her husband, whose family live in the Costwolds, at St Andrews Uni.

This was LONG before we had deerhounds. Small, small world and a lovely venue.
