We have a cat that has adopted us and lives outside. When the dogs were smaller occasionally they would meet up but Leo the cat would always run off.
Since we had Rocky, Leo has learned that if he stands still Rocky (the small terrier) will leave him alone, but if one of the big dogs come out he usually legs it.
Yesterday I put Leo's food behind the car as I was taking Mack around the front of the house and through the side gate. I let Mack out and he ran right behind the car. I thought to myself "there goes Leo's dinner". When I got behind the car Leo had stayed put and was going to have his dinner whatever. Mack was over the moon to get so close up and was licking and sniffing him and his tail was wagging. Leo was a feline tortoise equivilent and I think if he could have sucked his head in he would have with all of those sloppy kisses going on
I was very proud of Mack he was really very well mannered and I did think "good for you Leo".
