There was a heart stopping moment at 3 am today when loki started coughing/choking and was struggling to breathe. Rushed him to the vets and it looks as though he may have swallowed a small piece of plastic while misbehaving yesterday that it seems i shifted when feeling his windpipe. He had a high temperature and was pretty lifeless.

He went back earlier today after eating breakfast and they seem happy with him as he is eating and not vomiting. He has a little bit of a cough or sore throat but the temperature has gone back to normal and he is getting a little more lively by the minute.

Its been a bad year for the dogs with Tiggys seizure a few months back and now this.

gosh, so glad all well now. You must feel quite drained although delighted he is lively again.

Thanks guys im a little more lively now ive had a few hours sleep as well. Loki has really picked up this evening and hes back to abusing the lurchers so fingers crossed all is ok.

Ironstone yep thats him in the avatar at about 4 months old he looks a little different now.

He wasnt showing a lot of interest in walking today but now its cold and dark hes determined to go out brilliant timing as always.

Yeah fingers crossed he is loads better and getting more and more lively by the minute i could be in for no sleep again tonight as its dog party central here at the moment lol

So glad he is okay. Not a good year for dogs at all. I am lucky that Merlot is now fine. Elsie grey Kerry's girl cut her tendon Tuesday. So she is resting now. Daisy May (Kerry ) has broken her lap top so this is why I am putting this on.
