We visited a game-park yesterday and had a funny meeting with a curious vikunja. I must show you the photo....

How beautiful, but what is a Vikunja, a type of Deer, I did google it but it came back with a musician or an Eco boat!

That really is a beautiful photograph.

A Vikunja is a kind of camel, as you can see smaller, they live in Middle and South America in very high mountain regions, they are famous for there wool, it is the most expensive wool in the world.

This is a very nice wildlife park in Austria´s south, Styria, where we live.
They have a great variety of animals there, they have lions, cheetah, bears, woolfes....and of course vikunjas. It is in a very nice countryside and sometimes you forget the fences.

These animals are know here as vicuna. As you say, the most expensive fibre in the world. They look rather like alpacas or llamas (same family - camelid).
