Wonderful wet and zoomy fun! It's so nice to see them having a good run round and acting daft.

However, can I be didactic and point out the first photograph and ask you all to study it closely, purely because I don't think I've ever seen a better demonstration of how the pastern acts as a shock absorber - look at Leyla's off fore leg.

Oh yes very interesting Sid. Not often that is captured.

What fantastic beautiful photos! really made my night seeing them, and the snow shots as well. Thanks for sharing them.

I agree, really stunning photos, and the pastern pic shows just how well designed our hounds are for full pelt sprinting!

It also shows why its so important as well
to make sure the grounds is ok for them to run on,
as they can easily get damaged.

Really good photos we are jealous as every time we try to get photos all we end up with is the tip of a tail or the top of a head

Yes I agree what wonderful photos. I quite agree with Sid, the action shot showing the schock absorbing pastern was great.

I'm jut curious if the dog in picture 6 is a borzoi, or somwwhat related to that breed?

Nope Kim he's just a lurcher, mostly collie in him,
the borzoi didnt come with us on that day.

It was Picasa - Sid, i do sometimes use paintshop pro 9,
but only when i have the time, as it can take forever to sort all the pictures through that.

Having now visited your picasa album I saw some other pictures and found the lurcher
Handsome dog by the way. BTW, Collies have got their long noses from borzois. At least two times in history borzois have been breed into the collies in order to get that typical head. (It is true but just mentioned here to justify that i mistook him for a borzoi;) )
