TOPIC: Magazine article

Magazine article 2 years, 3 months ago #20309

My sister was going through some old magazines and found this one for me. It is the June 1998 edition of The Field. The gentleman on the cover is Dr Seamus Caine. One of the dogs is Killoeter Onich. He also mentions Onich's dam Rosslyn Carric but I'm not sure if that is the other dog or not.
The article also makes mention of Kenneth Cassels book and talks about the Tainchal, which is a big deer hunt.
It was a very interesting article and I'm glad my sister found the mag.

It is a picture as scottish as it ever gets. I'd bought that magazine at once if I'd seen it on the shelf in a magazine store.
Maybe I miss a bagpipe in the picture, but I think the deerhounds dont..

Hi Sam, Yes it is a great photo. I spoke to Seamus about and if you look carefully you can see that the boat is actually on dry land, not on the water.

Wow..that is a great picture, I'd want to frame it to preserve, and of course to see it often. Hang it in a place of honour.
