Hello Nat,

Very great pictures.
I think your hounds have many fun and the water is very good
for the cooling.

Best regards

Now, see in the top picture how those people are walking onto the beach? Murphy would be gone, flying over to say hello and to check the dogs out.
My daughter just told me a story of a dog on the beach in WA, it was taken off the beach by a Great White. Apparently it was dusky and the little dog was having his evening stroll/paddly along the beach and this monster just rode up in the surf and ate him. How terrifying.

Lovely pictures by the way, so nice to see others DH's enjoying their walks.

Love the beach pics , too - good looking deerhounds in equally good condition having lots of fun , great ! Mine , too , would be running up to everyone and all over the place to say " Hi " , but then , they are not used to that kind of a crowd for an off leash walk - where I walk it looks more like this ...

Ironstone, that is certainly NOT how I imagined you, but what a lovely bunch of grapes you have!

Unfortunately your faithful Deerhound has been obscured by your left thigh...

My dogs will only play with dogs that will chase/be chased by them, and keep up, at least for a short time.

Hence, most dogs are completely ignored by them. And people are ignored, unless they have food.

Here, the persistent staffy and a pointer have taken up the challenge!

Hello Nat,

Many thanks for the new very nice pictures.

I can see your Deerhounds play with another dogs.
I have questions to the Dingos.

Gives in your region Dingos in the free nature?

If yes, how is the relationship between Deerhounds and Dingos (give“s problems or not)?

Best regards

Hello Joerg
Unfortunately there are not many pure Dingos left in Australia. Most of them have bred with wild dogs, or dogs that live on remote cattle/sheep properties.
The most pure of the Dingos are found on Fraser Island, off the Queensland coast, as there are no domestic dogs there. I have seen them there and they are very beautiful.
Sometimes people have Dingo-cross dogs as pets. You need special permission to own a pure Dingo, but they make very good pets.
Dingos are so few in number now, that they are not seen as a real problem by farmers. We have many wild dogs here that cause a lot of problems with sheep, cattle, goats and even horses, as they hunt in large packs.
A farm nearby lost more than 30 goats in one night to wild dogs about 6 months ago. The wild dogs are large cross-breed dogs.
Dingos are small, not much bigger than a fox, and are quite timid.
I hope this information helps.
Nat

PS. I have a picture of my dogs playing with a Dingo-cross... I will find it for you soon.
