ok..this sounds stupid...but yesterday we bought Zippo a Purina "Busy Bone"..supposed to be a long lasting chew stick.. Well..there is a mess throught his legs. I was up til 3am..emailed purina and have tried lot of conditioner..any ideas

Well, the 'busy bone' is hard when purchased, it says up to one hour chew. So, ok..why not we thought. I checked the ingredients in the store and debated between this one and another new product. Poor choice on my part. No where did it say that the product when chewed becames a gummy soft mess - sort of like the topping of an apple crumble. Then it hardens into the coat and the coat becomes a mass right down to the skin. Last night I applied liberal amounts of leave in conditioner..Ill rinse it and hope for improvements.

Eeewww Yuck! I guess Zippo must have sticky chops too. I also guess that he probably would have cleaned his own legs eventually. Best of Luck!!

poor thing - I will avoid buying that bone if it is sold in uk
