Thanks to all those who helped with the organising the day the food and cleaning for the enjoyable informative day. Special thanks to Jean Blandford, Betina Adams, and Joyce Bond for giving their time to all give great presentations on the deerhound standard from a judges view, grooming the deerhound, and hand rearing puppies. Thank you and well done. I hope we can have more of these education days. By the way I won a great print in the raffle wow!!

Yep, the education day was superb. All the speakers were so interesting and, for myself, I learned heaps today. The whole day ran amazingly well and the food was delicious too - lots of it
Many thanks to Joyce and her team of helpers, cooks and bakers. Thanks to those whose dogs let us do a bit of hands on during Betina's grooming and preparing to show section(which was great) and I feel much more knowledgeable about deerhound construction and movement thanks to Anne's demo and displayboards.Should anyone be thinking of having a litter Joyce gave really useful advice on being prepared to hand rear and an excellent demo on how to go about it. I hope all the notes from the three speakers are put on the site or in the club newsletter so they reach a wider audience. I also hope a similar workshop can take place again soon. A really good day out and good discussions. Roll on the next one:laugh:

Hi people, just popping in to say Thankyou to everyone that came along to Joyce Bonds Education day, it was lovely meeting you all , I really enjoyed my day, good company, excellent food, a good “Blether” I also learnt such a lot.

Glenis and Mick Peach are amazing, all the hard work they do keeping us informed with all the show information and photo’s they have kindly put a piece on their website with some lovely photo’s.

I should have been there myself.Really disappointed to miss it,but managed to come down with a really painful eye infection last week.Well,i think it's painful,but i am a man,so perhaps it's only a minor irritation..............Anyway,hope to be at the next one.

Yes, what a great day. Really informative and helpful. All the speakers were excellent and went out of their way to answer questions and make things clear both with hands on examples and props.

I've tried to run off those excellent cakes but its no good I ate too many! Hope Chon Dubh and Liza are feeling a better now.
