My gang have a new sport. The whippet found a washed up parsnip on the beach. He grapped at it threw it in the air killed it several times and run off with it anytime the deerhounds chased him. A great time was had by all they all had a go. In the end they all had a chunk of it to eat?? They thought it was much better than chasing the ball.

Good fun wallace! Reminds me I have a row of parsnips in my veg garden that I left over the winter, and the tops now are 3-4 feet high. Maybe we can give them to the puppies later and save on dog toys!

One of my deerhounds used to love fresh apples more than anything. Threw them around like a ball. This worked out fine as we have apple trees in the garden.

Great story Wallace.

Murphy liked the Persil 'ball' that went in the washing machine when he was a puppy, he used to pinch it all the time and I only had the one, that is until he grew a bit and it got stuck one day, on his top and nose, it was such a funny sight watching him try and get it off!

Bryn used to take the balls out the tumble dryer and put them in the bird bath. No idea what that was all about.
