Here's a good quiz question about deerhounds to find a real deerhound geek!!!!

When I get my new girl puppy in the Autumn, she will be called Hazel, so I will then have two - called Dirk and Hazel. They are named after two deerhounds from the past, but does anyone know what other animal they were connected with?

I bet someone out there knows the answer to this!!

Ok then, does anyone know what happened to them?? Cos I read Gavin Maxwells autobiography and after he died the deerhounds were still alive - but I could'nt find out what happened to them?
