TOPIC: Fuzzy legs

Fuzzy legs 1 year, 10 months ago #26311

All the other Deerhounds I see seem to have nice fur on their back legs. Murphy's is very light and fuzzy and gets in terrible knots. They also look like they have been plaited in places, or crimped! Do any of your dogs have these legs?

I will get a photo when I get a chance.

Ben's front an back legs get like that when he's been in water, which in summer is every day.

Murray gets fuzzy fur on his back legs too but Carys doesnt and they both go in the water a lot - maybe it depends on the type of fur

Bens are still darker though. I always admire the Beardswood hounds, they are relaly dark and so are their legs, my hubby thinks I should just brush and brush constantly, but it doesn't work, I guess he is just a fuzzy legged monster.

Laylas are like a close pile carpet, as her undercoat is so thick,
the only way you can get right through it, is to use a tooth comb, otherwise you just
brush the top coat, it dosent knot as much as it used to do though.

Her coat is a mixed coat.
