We went out for a walk tonight, but there was matches on the football fields that we usually walk on, so we drove on to the local dog park (very American!!) My husband had Murphy and I had the terrier, there were about 6 other dogs in the field, when he just let him off
I only ever used to let him off with other dogs when he was younger, but since having the terrorist, I have denied him that. If only I had my camera, his face was in total disbelief, like "Huh? I am off lead?" he was then like a child in a sweet shop, and promptly took off to play with a spaniel, they had a good tear round, then he spotted another white dog and was off like a rocket, then he met the girl of his dreams, a pure white alsation, that was when he fell in love, they played chase, then he nipped her back (sure sign of true love?)
I feel so guilty now that I have denied him this play, so might make a regular walk up there (minus the terrier) so he can do what dogs love doing - playing! I am so please he let him off, though at the time I was nearly having a panic attack!
I swear he is sleeping now with a smile on his face
