Not long home from an excellent and informative day at Cardross. The speakers were excellent providing their experiences on
1.The history of the dog and specifically the Deerhound (Dr Marjory McKinnon)
2.My Way of living with Deerhounds (Rod Gillie)
3.Group Quiz (Deerhound related) (Eve Hamilton)
4.The Deerhound standard as I understand it (Jean Blamford)
5.Panel Interview (Eve Hamilton, Nell MacBean and Dr Ann MacNeill)
Much chat was provoked throughout the day as we all debated and deliberated on issues from dog control through to grooming and breeding. A blend of novices, ala Alison and I, through to experienced breeders were in attendance and from the chat throughout everyone took something from the day.
Well done and thank you to all who helped organise and run the education day and a special mention to the catering staff who provided a fantastic lunch for us all.
To protect the innocent (Jean Blamford) I was bullied into scoffing down a 2nd piece of chocolate cake washed down with lashings of cream

Jean - You owe me a new wardrope!
