We are very lucky to have our own land, I rarely put mine on the lead! We have three fenced paddocks and some ancient woodland, they run about with me across it three times a day, and then explore the garden the rest of the time, so long as the weather is good enough to leave the door open! We are also very lucky to be a long way from the nearest road, and do not have neighbours.

It all depends - some days it can be an hour or so,
but she does do a lot of running/playing with her rope ball,
on weekends it can be a couple of hours, out walking with friends and their dogs
even more running, sometimes during the week i will meet up with friends
and their dogs have a walk with them down the canal - bout an hour or so ish
not including stops for them to play in the water and the stop on the field for the last bomb around, if were going out somewere - meeting up, it can be 3-4 hours,
yesterday we was out from 8, met up at half 9 - in the fields till gone 5, not a hell of a lot of walking as we were ferreting, but she did a lot of pratting around, then home for 6ish.

She thought it was great fun to prat around ,
she mostly watched what was going on, when the other dogs got excited
she got intrested,i took her and my brothers little beagle x.

The holes to the warrens were under thorn bush's and the warrens extended
a lot under the fields, the warrens were to big - so we didnt get a lot of bolters,
although we did see a lot of sitters, but the dogs couldnt get them as they was either to far away or they ran stright down the bush's and in to the warren, it was a hard day and made even harder as it was throwing it down, pearl the beagle x did better than layla and got stuck in,
although she did like to follow the ferret lol, we only had two ferrets, so it was difficult as it was so big, we needed a few more realy.

We did get 6 though (two bolters - rest dug out) and enjoyed it throughly,
hopefully will be doing it again jan/feb time.
Layla wouldnt get out of the car for the picture - she was to tired
and the other rabbit was being skinned at the time.

Ben goes out for 1-2 hours a day, maybe less in the hot weather and then in the late evening when its cooler although he still feels the heat late in the day when it's warm. We mainly walk the lanes and/or up and down a valley about a mile long next to the house. When Ben goes out with his terrier friend down the valley he gets to run around a lot otherwise it's on-lead down the lanes.

We have 2 acres of land so he can run/walk around the garden at any time although he generally would rather relax on the sofa in the conservatory with one eye on the garden. If the resident squirrel makes an entrance then he's up the garden after it like a shot, although so far it's always too fast for him as it never ventures far from the base of a tree that it can escape up.

In the summere here, walks are 1/2 an hour or so, late at night or early in the morning. We have fields very nearby, but the main one has cattle and sometimes sheep (camals/llamas/tigers this week - the circus is in town and borrow the farmers fields!!) from June-November so we avoid those fields. I live near 4 golf courses and walk on one regularly, always off lead. At the moment, the weather is wet and it is muddy out there so we are road walking lots, I don't want him in my car, its new and its not mine!
But winter is on it's way and we shall have good 1-2 hour walks every day, better dog walking in the winter.

Ours get 1-2 hours sometimes more depending on where we are and this is mostly off lead they are put back on the lead when we see other people and dogs or if we cross a field with livestock or such.

normally 1-2hours on off lead walks but in the garden running/playing 2-3 hours if weather is cool but not pouring down. In rain they elect to stay put apart from the odd 10 mins plus the walk.

With Murph being my first DH, when do they 'slow down' so to speak. He has off lead excercise, if I have done a road walk one day I like him to be able to stretch his legs out the next, but even when we go off lead, he doesn't seem too bothered, prefferring to walk by my side. If I find a stick or take his ball, that becomes boring sooner than it used to. He was 5 last May.
If anything gets up, he is off, but for the mose, he just plods along next to me.

Ben's much the same, even when off lead he tends to just plod along beside me stopping to smell rather than running. If he see a rabbit or squirrel then he's off otherwise he doesn't bother much except for chasing the terrier in the garden.

He is becoming more active now the weather is getting cooler and will play ball and chase me when I run in the garden although he also tends to get bored quickly.

I take mine out 3 times a day for about 45mins- an hour at a time. They are mostly off lead. They also have a mad circuit of the garden a few times a day

Mostly my dogs exercise is off leash. We have to walk to places where set the hounds free.

Pyry is very active when off leash (and well on leash as well) and when being busy I manage to do the long daywalk in 30 minutes.
Normaly it's 1,5-2h + morning&evening runs nearby.
We have made +5h walks (off leash) as well so it depends on the place and company how much we spend time exercising. Or the hounds exercise, I'm just enjoying the view.
