I bet you've all been wondering why Sally hasn't posted recently. We were round her bit for dinner on Saturday night and there was Sally enthroned in her sitting room, with one leg in plaster on a footstool, cheerful but essentially grounded for the duration. She's had surgery on her ankle and is required to keep it elevated for a few more days, so she can't get near a computer until the plaster comes off. I'm sure she'll be back soon and in the meantime, Alan is taking very good care of her.

Thanks for the update Sid. Please send her our best wishes for a speedy recovery.

Hi Everyone, I'm back! Well, sort of. Have been to Outpatients today and had
my plaster off and the stitches taken out but I thought my ankle was going to be put in
a splint but it has had a new plaster put on and I have been told to keep it elevated for
another two weeks. I am so bored. There is only so much day time television one can
watch and I keep looking around at all the housework that needs doing. I have three
daughters and not one of them knows how to keep house. I haven't been brave enough to
enter the kitchen yet as most of the dogs are in there and I am a bit worried they
might knock me off my crutches but I have looked in over the puppy gate and Western movies
and tumbleweed springs to mind (dog hair drifting across the floor). I must write out
instructions on how to use the vacuum cleaner.

The girls are very good at keeping up to date with the washing but they forget to take it
out of the washing machine so it sits in the washing machine for days.

On a good note, our computer has now recovered from it's very serious illness (Charlotte
downloaded something called Limewire which her little schoolfriend had very kindly sent
her) and I can now access the internet so I can sit here with my foot on a chair and catch
up with all the goss and post to my hearts content. There are a lot of new boarders since
my last visit.

Hi Sally, hope you are ok, know what you are going through, had bunions removed 7 years ago and spent 6 weeks in plaster. My Mum took me Xmas shopping and we had to hire a wheelchair, felt such a twat, even more so when she let go of me coming out of Woolies and I ended up in the middle of the High Street
Yeah, there ar loads more boarders, which is good, it is nice to find out about other peoples lives, countries and of course DH's.

Get them girls hoovering, I took have the tumblweed effect and have just cleaned it all up, no one in my house knows how to use a hoover either!!

Keep resting, it will be worth it!

Helen

Hi Sally, good to see you back behind the keyboard.

Lurch I had my bunions removed about 23 years ago and was plastered from toes to thigh on both legs. Had to move around like those creatures on Neverending Story. My sister had to take me to the loo cause it was so hard balancing on rubber stoppers which were on the heels when getting up and down.

Hi Sally,
Glad to hear Alan is looking after you.Get better soon. I hope all the dogs are good. I will send Eris up for company for you. Lily and Logan are growing well they are now 18 weeks this weekend. I think Lily is like Orin. I hope so. Logan looks like his mother but in a boyish way.I will get round to get some good pictures but they do not stay still, so I need somebody to hold them.
