Talking to my dogs tonight when I took them out for their evening walk (they are the only one's I get any sense out of )when I realised that I had called every one of them by their silly pet names.

Murray is Murray mint, Murray Wurray, muzza
Alfie is Alfs Palfs, Alfie Palfie
Smokey is Smokey Wokey kit kat Mokey
Freddie is Freddikins
William is Willy Wonka and Twills

I am now going to await the men in white coats to pay me a visit

Now are you going to share you silly pet names - lol

Oh, I'm so glad it's not just me! Tavish's daft names are Idiot Boy and Tav the Chav, Jessie's are DownJessDammit and Miss Mouse and Dileas (now here I have to admit to being somewhat shamefaced) is also known as JeelyBangBoo. And they all answer to Puss. Previous hounds have also had silly names - Strath started out as Strathie Puddles, and that became Strathie Dubs, then Dubsy, then he was commonly known as the Dubs Fellow. It gets worse...

We don't have a 'silly' name for Callie because she is too much of a lady.
However, Fergal is often called Fungus or Fungal, depending on the extremity of his
misdemeanour.

Callie's a lady? Are you sure? She must get it from Thorn's side of the family, because Jessie and Dileas are anything but ladies - hairy hooligans, the pair of them.

She is most definately a lady (except when she is trying to bite Fergal's goolies!)
You should have seen her at 'Discover Dogs' she was the epitomy of distain. Oh, she does sometimes get called 'Callie Bear'.

PS
By the way Sid, congrats on the ShCM.

Ben gets called Bengy, sometimes Cluso after Inspector Cluso as he's always sniffing, presumably for clues about other dogs. An occasional name is blusie short for his registered name of "Blues Dream". I think the Breeder may have been a Glascow Rangers supporter lol.

Well all we ever hear in this house is MURPHY, MOVE or MURPHY, GET OUT OF THE WAY. He is everywhere and into everything poor thing, he is just a dog with long legs.....that gets in everyones way! He does get called Murphus Mummies little man. Nothing too silly oh and gimp when the mood takes me!
Now the Border Terrier he is different he is called Paddy so he becomes Paddy Pants, Pip, Toodle pip cos we can hear him toodle pipping on the wooden floor. We had a dog once called Spud he became spuddylugs.

Now all of this is ok...indoors, but when you are out?

Incidentally, I call my son (Callum) Woosie and forget when he is playing football and shout "Go on Woosie" funny thing is, he answers to it!

Well , I too use all kinds of names and shamlessly so - Na'lee becomes Lee Lee or Leechen , Disa id DisDis or Dismouse and also Disa Joy (which isn't silly ) , Mawu has almost permanently turned into a Wuwu ( pronounced Woowooo ) and Hermione already is fairly often " Mione " , and then " tiny Mione /swiney Mione /finey or mynie Mione "- depending on what she does . I had a dog named Polka and one of her names was "Polksie Wolksie " - as I used that mostly when my love for her welled up she loved this variation , too ; another one was Polka dot , of course . My Mahak had turned into a Max or Maxli or Maximouse - also "sleepy head " every so often and then Susie ( from the song " wake up little Susie " ) .

The funny name calling is more from my husband than me but...

Bree - Breeby, Breebit, Bumble Bree, Babe, Grumblebum
Xena - Xeeny, Bean, Beanpole, Xeeny Beeny, Xena Banina
Lockie - Lockjock, Big Herbert, Horus, Mate

I'm sure there are more but that is all I can think of.
