Not as impressive as the big boys, but this DHx also likes a seat.

How funny! Willow tries to get away with the sitting thing too. She pretends to back and lean on the couch, but then you realise that her back legs aren't touching the ground. I must become more of an expert with my camera as never have one to hand (or charged) when I need it.

Our dogs aren't allowed on the sofa, but when someone has shaved you AND desexed you sometimes you need a cuddle

Ben regularly sits on a chair/sofa/persons knee with his paws off the ground. He also sits like this on a bench when we're out in public. He's been of great amusement to lots of people when we've been sitting on a bench in a pub or a park. I understand that Great Danes also do this.

Shame but I don't have a picture to hand.

2 of mine do this , too - Mawu always before we go out , when she is waiting to get her collar on , she will sit on the couch next to the door and Na'lee will sit eihter this way on the ouch , or , better even , on my lap when I watch tv - as she is very tall , I think it must look hilarious , human legs with a deerhound on top and perhas a couple of human arms sticking out on the sides .

Took our youngest Benny (3) down to the in-laws the other day and told him to sit. He did just like your pic couldn't believe it. He has never done this at home, although he climbs and lies on the sofa when he thinks your not looking and when he is called ignores you completly.

The way to move my Ben is to say "Scratchy", he immediately comes over and presents his rump for a good scratch, he just loves it, you should see his face, bliss. It never fails.

Miss Cailean Adair busy body extraordinaire has to be in on everything & truly wants her favourite position to be wherever I am or was. If someone leaves a bed warm made or unmade she will unmake it & climb in when she can get away with it. After a year & a half we've given up keeping her from the furniture & put a cover over the love seat so she can watch out the window. Her winter roost as -20C is not her ideal temp.

I'm sure Ben's telepathic, his favourite position seems to be where you are just about to go. Go to bed and he's there quick as a flash before you get up the stairs, go to sit on the setee and he jumps on it first. Just think of vacuuming the floors and he flops down on the carpet, start cooking a meal and he's sprawled on the kitchen floor in the worst possible place, its very uncanny!
