Wow!My hounds would love a run round there!Lovely pics, you've really captured the tranquility.

Re:New Year Day Walk 3 years, 4 months ago #3882

Yeah, it's very beautiful, I'd love that near me, just can't picture it in Watford though!!!

I walk mine on a golf course, but when people ask me I don't tell themB) IT'S MINE, ALL MINE!!!! I don't want others coming there either. You do get the odd walker around the edges and in the woods, but rarely on the course, though funny enough, I did bump into a Hindsight puppy once, not seen him since Would love him to have a run with Murphy as he must be about a year old now.

I don't blame you wanting to keep a good walking place to yourself. We are so lucky here, there are so many places to go , we are spoilt for choice.

Curious - what is a "Hindsight puppy", is that like a sighthound but is always looking backwards ?

Ha ha, no Hidnsight is a kennel name, Hindsight Deerhounds, they breed Deerhounds down here in the South! Should have said, met another Deerhound puppy along the way!

Ah, you've told us all now. Next thing you know you'll be inundated with Deerhounds and their owners.

Yes we will have to meet up together with hounds on Lurch's golfcourse he he

I'm like that in the summer here in Pembrokeshire - people often ask where is there a nice place to walk but I never ever tell 'em - mean aren't I?

Re:New Year Day Walk 3 years, 4 months ago #3930

Deerhounds on MY golf course, I can handle that!!! Just not sure the owner would approve, hee hee. I've trained Murphy not to go on the greens and he does walk round the edges but never across the middle, can you imagine a dozen DH's all churning the greens up!! Golfers will know what I mean.
Though he does act like a goon sometimes and dig the bunkers, actually quite funny watching my huband franticaly raking them with a red face, only for Murphy to pop in the other end and start digging again!!

Had my baby nephew round today, he grizzles when we pick him up, so I took him to see Murphy, who sniffed his little feet, it certainly made him chuckle and stopped him crying! Though dog was shocked when baby squealed and jumped backwards!!!

I am surprised that you can walk your dogs at the golf course....in sweden I think they will hang you if you walk with a dog in the golf course.

Lovelly pictures anyway and I hope I can visit UK some time at the countryside I have only been i London. But now when I have a Scottish Deerhound I think a trip to Scotland is most necessary.

I live in the countryside to and we can walk in many places but we don't have much fields it is mostly forrest and little country roads were we can walk the dogs. I have horses to and when my DH beeing older I will take him with me when I horseback riding, I hope he will enjoy that.

Hope you can read my sweenglish it is nice to practise.
