I'm taking Tavish and Dileas (Lyart Yes Minister ShCM and L. Yea Verily); Sue's taking her two Gentiehun youngstaers (Tain and Mia-May) and Marjory's taking at least one of Fingon Nanny Ogg and Moireach Treshnish. We're all travelling down together overnight - watch out for us on the M6!

First time at Crufts for me!! Bit scared to say the least Just hope I don't let Elsie Grey down!! When I first filled out Crufts form put her in special yearling bitch in the Dachshund group..... that would have been funny.....she may have thought they were squeeky toys!! Have corrected that one, so it should be safe! I am very proud of Elsie grey, she is a rehome & never even dreampt we would get to Crufts Looking forward to seeing you all there ps...could not have done it without all the support & encouragement from the Deerhound people, so a big THANK YOU

Yes, we'll be there hopefully with two dogs Dream Dance (Kee Kee) and Drawing Down the Moon (Banrigh). I'm also hoping to run with Banrigh in the CaniX event on the Friday so a few bottles of wine the day before can only help.

Also in case anyone hasn't entered yet online entries close this Monday (12th Jan).

We will be attending with Fergal (Sorisdale MacManus), driving up early Thursday morning.
Been a few times to offer encouragement but never to compete.
Have had to bunk off school for the day!

No, Murphy didn't qualify this year

To be honest I found it quite boring last year, as exhibitors aren't allowed to leave as the public want to see the dogs, it was an extremely tiring day. Even though Watford is only 1.15 hrs away, it was such an early start with nowhere proper to sit down. I took my daughter last year, and she was so tired she said she was going to go back to the van for a sleep. Off she went and 2 hours later was ringing me asking how to get out! She had got in the back and pulled down the door but due to the steele bulkhead, she couldn't get out. I did tell her to knock on the window and ask someone to open it, but in the end had to walk nearly half a mile to let her out! What a day, my feet were killing me too! I much prefer going to watch than exhibiting. Everytime I went ring side to see what was happening and came back, someone was taking Murphy's picture or stroking him though not sure he liked it that much though. BBC cameras came to the end of our aisle and I thought, here we go, best side and all that......when I watched it later that day, they edited us out and zoomed in on a little bitch who was benched on the end, never mind, missed our chance to fame......

Re:Crufts 3 years, 4 months ago #4335

Oh by the way, good luck to everyone competing, I won't be there to watch as it is a work day, but I will be looking out for you all on BBC2! (if they show it!)
Good luck to all the girlies and boys too! Daisymay, you will be fine, its just another dog show, remember that.
Oh and as usual the benches are way too small, so take bedding and a longer benching chain so they can sleep on the floor! then you can have his bench!!!

We are going to Crufts with Brackenford Dalesman at Claonaiglen, Claonaiglen Mallie,
Claonaiglen Finnan, Demerlay Elegante to Clefairy (Charlottes Whippet) and maybe
Ch.Claonaiglen Orrin. Orrin is entered but hopefully she will be in whelp or whelped
by the time of Crufts. I just did not want to tempt fate by not entering her.
