I just wondered if anyone was intending to go the Lure Coursing @ Sue & Kev's in April, as Amanda and I will be with our mixbag of 5, possibly 6. Would go in March, but I'm going to a concert the night before and might be a little worse for weather in the morning

I'm definitely going (iffen the creek don't rise, like). I'll bring all three, but probably won't run DownJess, who thinks it's a pure waste of time when you could be chasing bunnies or bambis or whatever.

I'm on call for the April date, but if I can get cover I will try to come. I'm hoping to go in March. I'll bring Cara, Bryn and Fala again, they loved it.

Not going to Scotland, but The BSFA Lure Coursing starts in March for those of us 'down south'. The season starts on March 15th at Newbury. The day before is the Deerhound club fun day. Details in the latest Deerhound Club mag.

I really want to go to the Deerhound funday but am worried that I wont know anyone - I haven't got a partner and feel a bit 'exposed' going on my own.

Afraid its too far for me to travel with Ben, he's not keen on travel and I worry that a really long trip may put him off completely.

I planned to buy a motorhome for long distance travel so we could do the journey in several short hops with stops in nice pllaces but the credit crunch has put a stop to that, at least until we can sell a 2nd house that we've had to rent out until the market recovers.

You should come along. The emphasis is on the FUN part and the people are really friendly. We felt the same at our first coursing event (and show, only been in the breed 3ish years) but people go out of their way to make you feel welcome. You can always track us down and we could introduce you some like minded Deerhound people.
Spring, Sue, Robert, Callie and Fergal.

Houndy, don't worry the Deerhound people are all friendly and very supportive. I don't have a partner either, hoping to go to Deerhound funday with my friend Chris (Wallace). Will let you know nearer time so we can arrange to meet up if you want I think everyone takes a picnic to share too. Elsie Grey will be pleased food yummy!
